Facebook Ads Account Banned? [Solution]

Not When, But If

At some point, you will have your Facebook Ads Account banned or disabled. It’s not really a case of ‘if’, but when.

So, what to do?

First thing to do is to try and get Facebook to overturn their decision. Say sorry. Be polite. Beg. Offer your firstborn. Whatever it takes. Send a package to Zuckerberg personally if necessary.

Banned Facebook Message

THE MESSAGE THAT NO ONE WANTS TO SEE IN THEIR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT

However, the chances are that they won’t reinstate your account. I’m being realistic even though that’s not what you want to hear with the shock of your Facebook Ads Account Banned. You are generally not banned because one ad was wrong, but because overall their algorithm or a manual reviewer doesn’t like what you are doing. You are small fry to them.

Your Choices:

So, suck it up. You then have a choice:

  • give up entirely
  • open another account using a different identity and CC and IP and domain and try again
  • find another solution

As you have probably just realized, your whole business has just been wiped out overnight because Facebook doesn’t like you. If you are dependent on another company, then you don’t really have a business at all. That needs to change.

If you want to find another solution, then you now know that you need at least two or more streams of traffic so that the same thing doesn’t happen again. You also need to start collecting email addresses from customers so that you have an asset that more or less can’t be taken away.

Luckily for you, there are many other solutions – some where you will make even more money with greater converting traffic.

It’s going to be out of your comfort zone and is a massive pain, but it can be done and you can come back even more successful than ever before.

Alternatives When You Have Your Facebook Ads Account Banned:

Here are some suggestions:

  1. Native Ads. If you have a fairly general product which is targeted towards 10m+ people then this could be great for you. Some suggestions for you are Outbrain or Taboola. My biggest tip for you is to experiment with a presell page to warm customers up. It will make a big difference.
  2. Google Adwords. Whatever else you are doing, you should be using Adwords. They have HUGE amounts of traffic and therefore huge amounts of potential customers. You also have access to Youtube. Big tip: Go for your perfect prospect first to see if you can make conversions and then perfect your strategy. I was a certified Adwords specialist, but even now I find their interface a bit intimidating. So, there is a learning curve, but it can be well worth it.
  3. Bing Ads. Bing is like the unwanted brother of Adwords. They have done nothing wrong, but direct marketers seem to ignore them. In fact, they are far easier to use than Adwords and often bring a far better Return On Investment.

There are many other networks that you can try, but the three above are where I would start if you do have your Facebook Ads Account banned.

Finally:

Don’t wait around for Facebook to say Yay or Nay, because even if you do get your account back you will now have a second source of traffic.
